The Poetry Stroll brings history and literary landmarks to life through poetry & music

The Poetry Stroll
This guided literary walking tour explores James Joyce’s Dublin through poetry and music, using the artist’s footsteps as a compass through the city. While best known as a writer, Joyce was also a singer and a poet, and it is through this lens that we encounter his world: Dublin at the beginning of the twentieth century.
As we walk the streets and visit the places that shaped him, the stroll shines a light on Joyce’s artistic aspirations, creative life and places he later immortalised in Dubliners, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, and Ulysses.

Probably the best experience in Dublin (and one of the best in our lives).
Wonderful, unforgettable tour with a great storyteller and a great musician

The Poetry Stroll is proud to be part of the International Literature Festival Dublin 2026.

There's more poetry down here...
I recently composed music to the poetry of Æ George Russell. Æ, the visionary mystic, poet, painter, and intellectual who stood at the heart of Dublin’s artistic life in the early twentieth century.
I presented these compositions during the inaugural dinner organised by the George Russell Society at the United Arts Club in Dublin on 30 Janurary, 2026.
I recorded his poem 'A Farewell' at Fennelly's of Callan.
